Awesome Things

IT'S TUESDAY!

Which means it is time to party, but before we can get to that we need to talk about last weeks features. Randi's Pick- funny dancing eggs! These are ridiculously easy and I bet they provide hours of entertainment for kids (and adults). They remind me of the weebles, and now the weebles ditty will be stuck in my head ALL day! *Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down!*
Frog in a pocket: Funny Dancing Eggs
Krystal's Pick- applesauce monster cookies! I love when a bad recipe goes good, and this one is at the top of my list. By adding applesauce into her cookie recipe she is making the world's softest cookies. Swirl in oats, peanut butter, chocolate AND m & m's and how can it be a miss!

Victoria's Pick - healthy Easter treat! I love to pretend I'm eating healthy and by layering greek yogurt and whipped cream it's even easier! I think I could convince all three of my kids that this was a dessert food before adding the Peep on top, but with that one there it's a no brainer! What a fun spin on a traditional parfait!

Ashley's Pick- chocolate mousse cake! I'm not gluten free, but if it means I can eat things that look as good as this I will pretend to be! This luscious chocolate mousse on top of a hazelnut crust has me wishing I wasn't trying to lost a few extra pounds before swimsuit season!

Awesome Things!

IT'S TUESDAY!

Which means it is time to party, but before we can get to that we need to talk about last weeks features. First off we have Ashley's pick- fiesta birthday party printables! This colorful cupcake bunting is enough on it's own, but paired with the soda wrappers, straw flags and birthday banner sign it is an unbeatable combination! I love the sugar skull look and the mexican fiesta is right up my alley! Fiesta-Themed Birthday Party with Free Printables | Hello Little Home Next up is Krystal's pick - cha cha cha chia eggs! This is not only fun and whimsical, but it looks like a great project for kids. I think that this will have to make an appearance on my spring to do list. And can we talk for one second about that table, AMAZING!
Victoria's pick this week is the - fabric succulent pots and watercolor prints! These are the simplest little pots, but they add such an air of elegance to any table decor. And the watercolor skill Amy has is just awe inspiring on it's own! I wish I could paint like that! And Randi (who is recovering at home now from her horror story of a surgery) picked the - April Fool's Day prank. I love this idea! I'm going to have to save it away for next year, or maybe just a trickster day this summer! jello final

Awesome Things

IT'S TUESDAY!

Which means it is time to party, but before we can get to that we need to talk about last weeks features.
First off we have Ashley's pick- this moss filled ampersand.  I love typography and greenery, so it is like a match made in heaven for me!  I think I will have to do something like this in my own craft room since I am reorganizing and opening up some wall space!
Next up is Krystal's Pick - a white chocolate chip skillet cookie!  This looks amazing and it is such a wonderful alternative to baking a traditional cake (you don't have to frost this)!  And you can customize it to feed any number of people so you don't have toooo many leftover sweets laying around tempting you!
White Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie by Three in Three | This decadent #dessert is great for a quick fix when you don't feel like slaving away in the kitchen all day for a treat!
Next up is Victoria's pick - a whole bunch of fabulous FREE kitchen printables!  I don't know about you, but I LOVE printables and free things so this is a no brainer of a good idea!  There is a little bit of everything here, in a whole bunch of different color combinations, and I promise you will find something you like love.  Plus can you say easy housewarming gift!

Finally we have Randi's pick - how to make a rainbow pinwheel!  It is no secret that this is time of year for things to look bright, shiny and new.  Full of life and blooming with possibility (blooming - spring...get it, I'm a cheeseball).  This rainbow pinwheel is sure to add a punch of color to any centerpiece, garden or spring display you have and the tutorial makes it super easy to do!

It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Okay, maybe not QUITE Christmas yet. I'm one to respect the turkey!

But with my maternity leave drawing to a close the week of Thanksgiving, and the first of 2 Christmas parties that we are hosting at the house a mere 3 weeks away, it's definitely time to start thinking about decor. This is the first year I have a place that I am proud to host a party at! And I cannot wait to decorate my Christmas here at our home.

I'm a big advocate of wall art. Blank walls make me cringe. Things are meant to be put on walls. Wall decor at the store costs a fortune though! Using nothing but free for personal use fonts and free cliparts via google, I can change my wall decorations as often as I'd like, and not pay an arm and a leg.

I make printables for every holiday or occasion, and I frame them and hang them as I see fit. I've been playing around and coming up with different printables in different colors and styles.

And below are a couple from this year!

Ian Seamus - The Big Nursery Reveal!

It's finally done. The nursery is complete, and not a moment too soon, since he will be here 9/3 at the very latest!

Remember this room?

It is now, THIS! :)

Just a few more days now until I can hold my little man in my arms and welcome him to the world!

A Change Of Scenery

As I mentioned in my previous post, we are moving! It's true. We're packing up the kids, cat, and dog and heading about 20 minutes away from where we are now. Is it a far move? No. But I think having our own space, and the ability to live our own lives, will making our lives much easier.

We started moving some boxes in this weekend, and will slowly continue to move more through the evenings this week, but this weekend, is officially it. MOVING DAY! I snagged some pictures of what we're working with when I was there the other day, because although it's not purchasing a home, like we were hoping to be doing about now, it's beautiful and will contain our family nicely.

2nd Level Main Bathroom

Piper's Big Girl Room! (We freshly painted the walls)

This is it! I didn't put up a photo of every room, but we also have a living area with fire place, half bath off the kitchen, walk in closet in the master bedroom. We are looking forward to making this space our own.

And having my own place to make beautiful will bring this blog back in action.
